Simon Chantler is Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Meadow Foods. As a graduate of Cirencester Agricultural College and a former dairy farmer himself, Simon understands the challenges involved in farming. Under Simon’s direction, the company has achieved compound growth of more than 8% since 1995 and has achieved a turnover in 2011/12 of more than £340 million.
Mark has a first class honours degree in economics and was recruited into the family business in 2011 to work across a number of business units. He now holds the position of Managing Director of Ingredients with overall responsibility for the company’s Fat, Sugar and Fresh Divisions and has responsibility for overseeing and implementing the company’s strategy for growth, acquisitions and its ambitious expansion plans.
After graduating with a Civil Engineering degree, Damian moved into finance and spent ten years as an audit accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Damian joined the accounts team at Meadow Foods in 1994 before taking over as Finance Director in 1997.
Paul moved into the dairy industry as Executive Chairman at United Milk. Paul joined Meadow Foods in 2005 as a Non-Executive Chairman before becoming Managing Director in 2007. Paul now holds the position of Non-Executive Director, giving continuity to the board.
After working for Unigate PLC and in dairy trading for more than a decade, Jamie joined Meadow Foods in 2000. He is now the Commercial Director of Meadow’s Fat Division with responsibility for the Butteroil (AMF) business, Group Fat Procurement and management of the Fat Operations team based at Chester.
With over 20 years experience in the dairy ingredients sector, Paul leads the company’s six-strong sales team. He previously ran the dairy ingredients division for Dairy Crest and has broad production and operational experience. Paul also heads up Meadow’s Fresh Division at Peterborough.
Jack is a qualified management accountant and has worked at Meadow Foods in both financial and commercial capacities before being promoted to Commercial Director in 2015. Jack has operational and commercial responsibility for the Sugar Division, comprising the factory in Holme on Spalding Moor.
Gary has over 30 years of experience in the dairy industry, working for the Milk Marketing Board and Unigate for 20 years before joining Meadow in 1999. In his current role of Milk Trading Director, he is responsible for the trading of up to 800million litres of milk annually for the company.
Jim has responsibility for procuring milk from farms across England, Scotland and Wales. Jim Joined Meadow Foods in 2007 from Farmsense where he held the position of UK Business Manager. Prior to this Jim spent time with The Milk Group as Farm Liaison Manager before moving to Kennan as Projects Manager for the UK and Ireland. Jim is a graduate of the Royal Agricultural College Cirencester.
