Our executive team includes professionals from the dairy farming, food manufacturing and dairy industries to give us a complete understanding of the market.
Simon Chantler, Executive Chairman
As a graduate of Cirencester Agricultural College and former dairy farmer himself, Simon understands the challenges involved in dairy farming. One of the founders of Meadow Foods, Simon is personally responsible for the liquid milk business and oversees the sweetened dairy products and milk fat operations.
Ron Middleton, Sales Director
With almost 30 years experience in the dairy industry, Ron has unrivalled dairy market knowledge. Originally a Creamery Manager with Express Foods, he switched to dairy sales in 1989 and now heads up Meadow's six-strong sales team working closely with some of the UK's leading food manufacturers.
John Lambert, Commercial Director - Sugar and Fresh
John is Commercial Director of our sweetened dairy products processing site in Holme on Spalding Moor, Yorkshire and our fresh products dairy processing site in Peterborough. Prior to working at Meadow Foods he was previously Commercial Director at Express Dairies Distribution.
Damian McDonald, Finance Director
After graduating with a Civil Engineering degree, Damian moved into finance and spent ten years as an audit accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Damian joined the accounts team at Meadow Foods in 1994 before taking over as Finance Director in 1997.
Paul Deakin, Non-Executive Director
Paul moved into the dairy industry as Executive Chairman at United Milk. Paul joined Meadow Foods in 2005 as a Non-Executive Chairman before becoming Managing Director in 2007. Paul now holds the position of Non-Executive Director, giving continuity to the board.
Norman Oldmeadow, Non-Executive Director
Having worked in food manufacturing for Mars Confectionary, Norman later moved into dairy trading, building a successful food ingredients business specialising in butter and butteroil. In 1992 he co-founded Meadow Foods and he currently sits on the boards of the Provision Trade Association and Eucolait, the trade association representing EC dairy manufacturing and dairy trading companies.
