Milk Supply and Balancing

Our strong farmer networks mean that Meadow Foods is ideally placed to supply milk to the UK’s leading liquid milk packers and food manufacturers.

We also provide a balancing service so that food manufacturers and liquid milk packers can sell excess milk or source additional supply as and when necessary. Our direct farm relationships and processing capabilities mean that we can guarantee supply, even during winter months when product can be scarce. We also buy back milk and cream that isn’t needed by our customers for use in our own processing plants.

We are investing heavily in our concentrate capabilities and produce reverse osmosis (RO) concentrates and for use in fresh products such as ice cream and yoghurt and for drying into powder. The most recent investment has been in a new RO facility that can produce milk protein concentrates and is designed to capitalise on the new EU regulations relating to milk standardisation.
