Sweetened Products

Meadow Foods is the UK’s only independent manufacturer of chocolate crumb and sweetened condensed dairy products.

Our Holme upon Spalding Moor site in Yorkshire processes more than 10,000 tonnes each of chocolate crumb and sweetened condensed products every year.

Chocolate Crumb

Chocolate crumb is used to give chocolate its distinctive caramelised milky taste.

Our chocolate crumb is made from fully refined sugar, farm assured cow’s milk and West African cocoa, which is carefully blended, concentrated and dried to create a crumb-like powder.

By using fresh milk in our chocolate crumb, we can deliver a rich, partly caramelised flavour that is impossible to recreate using milk powders.

Sweetened Condensed

Meadow Foods works closely with all the UK’s leading confectionary manufacturers to provide sweetened condensed products for their toffee, caramel and similar products.

Products include condensed skim milk and 8% butterfat condensed milk to which refined sugar is added before the sweetened condensed milk is concentrated to a minimum of 72.5% total solids. The products can be distributed in bottles, drums, IBC boxes or using bulk deliveries.
